- For best results, steel surfaces should be dry grit or sand blasted to a commercial gray metal finish as specified by the Steel Structures Painting Council SP-6. For immersion service, blast to near white blast SSPC SP-10.

CONCRETE SURFACE - Concrete surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, curing compounds, existing coatings or laitance to provide a clean, sound, bonding surface. Cleaning may be accomplished with -Masonry Cleaner or water blasting, acid etching, sandblasting, or other methods that would achieve a similar result.

Stir Component "B" thoroughly before mixing. Combine 2 parts by volume of "A" with 1 part by volume of "B" (mixing ratio 2:1). Mix for not less than 3 minutes with a slow speed drill (300 to 600 rpm), and an Paddle. When mixing has been completed, apply immediately. Clean equipment with soap and water.

POT LIFE PRODUCT #226 has a pot life at 75°F (24°C) of approximately 90 minutes. It is essential to use the material within 90 minutes even though the viscosity of PRODUCT #226 does not increase greatly over time.

APPLICATION PRODUCT #226 Fast Setting Water Based Epoxy Coating may be applied by brush, roller or spray. All spray equipment must employ traps to prevent water and oil from contaminating coating. The substrate temperature should not be below 10°C and the relative humidity not above 80%.

COVERAGE PRODUCT #226 will cover approximately 250 sq. ft./gal/coat depending upon surface texture. For best results, use two (2) coats.

It is important to protect PRODUCT #226 from frost; therefore store it under frost proof conditions. At temperatures up to 75°F (24°C), the storage stability of PRODUCT #226 packed in original containers amounts to at least 12 months.

As a result of the high solids content of PRODUCT #226 and the solid resin character of the polymer, PRODUCT #226 tends to form a tiny skin upon foaming and temperature changes during storage. Therefore filtration of the product (without heating) before being applied by the end-user is recommended.

Contains Epoxy Resin and Amines Hardener.

Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before re-use.

The rules and regulations established by local authorities should be observed when handling and processing epoxy resins and hardeners
